A Souvenir released on Swami Krishnananda's 33rd Birthday
Sri Swami Krishnanandaji is one of the foremost disciples of H.H. Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj, the sage of the Himalayas.
It way decided early this year that the birthdays of the great disciples of H.H. Sri Swami Sivanandaji Maharaj should be celebrated, in order that aspirants might come to know more about them, and thus be inspired to follow their glorious footsteps and exalt themselves.
Accordingly, Sri Swami Krishnanandaji's thirty-third birthday will be celebrated at the Forest University, and at a number of branches of the Divine Life Society, on the 25th April, 1954. Contributions were received from a number of admirers of this young saint; they have been included in this volume.
This book consists mainly of Sri Swami Krishnanandaji's Essays on the Isa, Kena and Katha Upanishads, together with an introductory Essay on the main theme of the Upanishads in general, and three other Essays on philosophy and religion. They are a sure guide for those who would transform themselves into Supermen. Besides, these Essays give a clear insight into Swami Krishnanandaji's wisdom and sublimity of thought.
